Palm Pre webOS 1.3.1 features include the integration of Yahoo! contact and calendar syncing in Synergy, forwarding and copying SMS/MMS, assigning of ringtones as a new message alert, watching of widescreen movies in default widescreen mode, a slider navigation bar to move forward or backward when a song is playing, and a whole lot more enhancements. It also addresses several security issues in the webOS software though failing to detail what these are.
As for those who have previously enjoyed iTunes syncing with their Palm Pre, sorry guys, this latest webOS firmware doesn’t fix what Apple disabled in the latest version of iTunes. Nonetheless, despite this minor shortcoming, this is one feature-packed firmware update that is highly recommended for all Palm Pre users out there.
