The Samsung T329 Stripe clamshell phone has a black body that’s accented by a gray striped center, which also contains the VGA camera lens and a vertical external display (inverse monochrome, 128 x 32 pixels) that shows current time, signal strength, battery life, and incoming calls. Flip the phone open to reveal the internal 1.75-inch LCD screen (128 x 160 pixels, 65K colors) as well as a standard alpha-numeric keypad, which sits below the five-way navigation pad surrounded by send/end and two soft keys. The phone has an internal 20 MB memory (not expandable), and the phonebook can store up to 1000 contact entries with up to 5 numbers and an email address per entry.
Handsfree communication is easy thanks to the integrated speakerphone. This phone also provides Bluetooth wireless connectivity (version 1.2), and includes profiles for communication headsets and handsfree car kits.
The VGA camera can capture images in four resolutions (640 x 480, 320 x 240, 160x 120 and 128 x 96 pixels), and it also features a 4x digital zoom, white balance controls, night mode for optimal shooting in low-light conditions, and a self-timer. This camera does not capture video.
